Application Announcement: Georgia Licenses are Open!

Starting November 25th, 2020, the state of Georgia will be accepting cannabis applications. They will award 6 cultivation licenses for class 1 and class 2. Deadline is December 28th, 2020 at 2pm.

There will be four class 1 production licenses, to be under 50,000 sqft.. As well as two class 2 production licenses, to be over 50,000 sqft.

Security Plan

The Commission and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will be focusing on:

The security plan shall include a 24 hours per day, seven days per week interior and exterior video monitoring. As well as intrusion detection monitoring system, recording and video storage capabilities for all facilities, and licensed security. personnel. An outline of maintaining a minimum of 45 days of video recording capacity will be required.

The entire premises of licensees shall be equipped with a centralized access control system. Which will be capable of generating detailed reports of key card access logs for a minimum of one year. All videos, access logs, and any other monitoring data shall be available to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation upon request.

Detail the applicant’s plan to mitigate product diversion and waste protocols. Include if/how an incinerator will be used in waste removal of clippings, buds, defective oil, etc.

Describe the security of the production facility, including:

  • Facility diagram drawn to scale of the interior and exterior of the facility, including all physical and electronic security elements;
  • Security Surveillance System description;
  • Product Security, including plan to mitigate potential diversion; and
  • Security Training Protocols and training plan for new and existing employees.

Design and Floor Plans

Submit a professional blueprint of the floor plan of the proposed premises. This should be drawn to the approximate scale, showing the arrangement of the production space, approximate placing of equipment, the entrances and exits, ventilation and filtration, plumbing, electrical and lighting, and adequacy of floor space; and, a list of various items of primary equipment to be used in the cultivation , extraction, and manufacturing processes.
